Axcis Education are looking to recruit a Primary Teacher from January 2011, for an outstanding Primary School in South London. This vacancy is for two terms within KS2, Year 5 and ideally you will have previous experience with this year group. All KS2 Teachers receive classroom support from Teaching Assistants and in addition are supported by the parents. This school continues to be successful in pupil achievement because of their good balance of teaching methods which have meant that the children are far above the national and borough average in National Curriculum performance and tests. The school also enjoys a strong tradition of music making and the children are encouraged to become aware of sound. They practise singing and memorising songs. They are encouraged to play a wide variety of instruments and to improve their own musical ideas. They are shown how to develop these ideas, to make their own compositions and to perform and record them.
