A primary school in Waltham Forest requires a Year 1 teacher to start after the Christmas holidays. The position is full-time with no guaranteed end date, so it's quite possible it will continue until the end of the academic year if not longer. The class is made up of pupils who, in some cases, have not attended school previously due to lack of available spaces. This means that behaviour will most likely be quite challenging, and it is therefore essential that the successful candidate has strong and well developed behaviour management skills. Some of these pupils will also have English as an additional language, so experience in this area is a necessity. The school is more than happy to consider overseas qualified teachers with previous experience in a long-term position in the UK. Unfortunately this job would not be suitable for NQTs.
