Teaching Assistant for a PRU

A Pupil Referral Unit in the South Hertfordshire area is looking for a teaching assistant to work in their secondary sites. The ability to empathise and build good relationships with pupils who can be quite challenging is essential along with the ability to work well with other teaching and non teaching staff. Many of the pupils have varied SEN including EBD and MLD. Experience in a PRU is not as important as character and attitude and the team of staff there are very friendly and supportive. You would need to have some experience working with children in a school environment in the past. The role is currently short term, but for the right person it may well extend. You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.
