Axcis Education are looking for a qualified teacher of English for a lovely North London School. This is a permanent appointment from September 2010. Specific " To work with other teachers on the development of GCSE, AS and A2 English and Media Studies ensuring that each pupils is positively encouraged to develop her/his full potential. " To jointly plan, implement and regularly review the English and Media Studies Curriculum within the framework of the National Curriculum, GCSE and AS/A2 level. " To promote English and Media Education through encouraging cross-curricular links and the enhancement of the curriculum through extra-curricular activities. " To ensure that departmental rooms present an attractive and stimulating learning environment. " To monitor and assess students' work at this level keeping appropriate records and evidence. " To be able to teach across the age and ability range. Whole school responsibilities " To act as form tutor, attend meetings, to carry out related duties such as administration, pastoral care, and meet the social and curricular needs of students in accordance with the general job description. " To contribute positively to the atmosphere of the whole school. " To uphold and implement the policies and ethos of the school both in and out of the classroom as directed by the Head teacher. You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.
