ABA trained Tutor

We require a ABA trained Tutor to deliver a home based programme to a autistic 7 year old boy at home (E5). Currently 3 tutors provide support to him. He has severe autism. He can understand spoken language but uses very little language, he uses pictures and symbols. The tutors generally work up to 5 sessions per week of 3 hours each. There have been a number of tutors supporting him. It would be too intensive both for the tutor and him for one person to work with him solidly all day. The current arrangements are expected to remain in place until at least March possibly longer, but any tutor must be warned that their services may not be required if the statement changes, the family move, he goes to school, or if they are not following the programme set by the supervisor. ABA stands for Applied Behavioural Analysis which is a specific approach to teaching children with Autism. The tutor will be guided by the supervisor but must be ABA trained and have experience working with autistic children. You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.
