We require a Male Teacher for this work-related learning programme for students in Year 10 from a pupil referral unit. During the first week they learn skills for work, during the second week they carry out a community project and during the third week they go on a short work experience placement. There will be up to 15 young people, one tutor and 1 support assistant per group, based in a location in Hackney. The course will be taught at Entry Level 3. All resources and session plans will be prepared in advance for the tutor and we will expect them to teach these and to put in place our behavioural policy so that delivery falls in line with Inspire's ethos. We are looking for a tutor to deliver to the ESOL and Vulnerable group of young people and have quite specific requirements: - Male teacher preferred (they will be working with a female support assistant) - Experienced secondary teacher with humanities subject specialism - e.g. Citizenship or English - Experience in an inner city secondary school, e.g. in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets - Experience of working with an ESOL group / vulnerable young people / challenging behaviour (preferably all) - Enthusiastic and adaptable - many days will involve trips out which they will have to manage
