Axcis Education are seeking a SEBD teacher for one of their clients schools in Ashford, Kent. Based in the Assessment Centre Unit of the school, you will be working with secondary aged special needs children who are angry, violent and severely traumatised. Although not subject specific, you will need strong classroom control and management. Ideally TEAM TEACH qualified or similarly trained. If not qualified you MUST be prepared to undertake this training. AXCIS are happy to provide this training to you. This placement is for the rest of the school year and as such you need to commit to this. Stability and consistency is of high importance in this centre. Each child is supported by a team of specialised professionals and as the teacher, you would be expected to part of that team. Starting asap in January, with interviews in the first week. High rate of pay due to the challenging aspects and the skills required for this role. You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.
