A vibrant Primary School in Southwark is currently seeking an experienced PMLD/SLD teacher to start September 2011 for two terms. This role will be full time Monday to Friday and includes responsibilities such as planning and being involved at parent evenings.

You will be required to teach small groups of primary age pupils with a range of learning difficulties from severe to very profound and multiple needs. You must be willing to be involved in more intimate areas of care including changing, hoisting and feeding. The class have 4 excellent members of support staff who will be able to assist you during lessons.

Within the school are a team of extraordinarily talented SEN professionals with astonishing range of expertise and specialism. The scope to learn and progress within the SEN arena with access to such a wealth of knowledge is quite exceptional.

This Primary school has excellent facilities including sensory rooms, soft play rooms and a hydrotherapy pool. In May 2010 the school 'once again' had a very successful OFSTED inspection. The school was judged to be outstanding.

All candidates applying must at least have 2 years of experience working in a SEN school and should feel confident doing IEP’s for students.

The school is located 8 minutes away from the tube line. (Jubilee Line)
